HILLWOOD SY-1800

An analog single oscillator preset synth with very good modulation capabilities. Although it may look similar to the Roland SH2000 or Multivox MX880 it is quite different from both. This particular unit is not working 100% and because of my inability to read Japanese I am unable to decipher the catalog so I'm not quite sure what it's capable of. (That and many other catalogs can be found on The Museum of Musical Instruments Catalogs website) According to Synrise this synth uses something called Multiple Modulated Spectrum Synthesizing (MMSS) which is something like FM. The circuitry is an op-amp mine field using gobs of CA3080's. I'll be adding more pictures of the circuitry so please check back.
